COWS
Over the week-end hubby and I took a drive to Apex Mountain, a ski resort not too far away from where we live. We were curious to see if there was any snow high up in the mountains as of yet...to our dismay there was none.
But what we did see along the way was far more exciting... groups of cattle that lay on the road and block the traffic as you make your way up the steep mountain side. These creatures are much bigger than the pictures make them out to be...these guys were HUGE, like I'm talking 2500 lbs HUGE! as big as our car HUGE!!!
This bull got spooked as we slowed the car down to take a picture
WILD HORSES
A really neat thing to see out here in B.C. when your taking a drive out on the back roads, is the large packs of wild horses that roam free in the forest. Its really neat to see the way they wander around and frolic by the riversides. They get spooked quite easily so it was difficult to get any good pictures of them...but in this photo you can see the male horse watching guard and protecting his fellow horses..there were about 12-15 other horses with him.
BEARS...Oh My
We were also very lucky to see a black bear on our way up and he wasn't spooked at all, he just sat by the roadside watching us as we took a few photos of him.
All in all it was a lovely day!
